Landscape Practice 2019
RUNNING A PROJECT
Visit to SENT Landfill Construction Site
Time: 17 April 2019 ‐ 1.30pm
Participants: HKU MLA2 Students
Purpose of Visit
The purpose of our visit is to acquire on-site experience of the role a Landscape Architect can play on site in the administration of a construction contract. We will be looking at both an overall ‘supervision issues’ as well as some of the day-to-day supervision tasks that would be undertaken by resident site staff, and to engage in design contract administration processes.
You should pay particular attention to how the site staff establish acceptable standard of materials and workmanship, identifying defects, and dealing with design changes.
