Landscape Practice 2019

Course Brief

The course comprises a series of grouped workshop modules intended to allow students to research, examine and evaluate the concepts outlined, to develop clear understanding of the subject and to articulate and apply learnt knowledge.

 

Students shall work in groups of 5+ to research a specific area of enquiry. Groups shall prepare web hosted study material & explanatory videos on their topics of research, which shall be incorporated into the online 2019 Landscape Professional Practice Handbook, which the groups shall together develop over the course of the semester. The 2018 Handbook is available.

Students shall present their research and deliverable to their colleagues in class for peer review as well as utilise learning techniques including in-class games or role play activities to better help students understand their research. Test and Quiz shall be used to assess group understanding.

A final written ‘practical’ submission shall be used to demonstrate understanding of the professional expectations expected.
